Super-Jeeps
Icelanders are famous for their thing for Super-Jeeps which are specially modified jeeps for off-road driving in rugged areas. Those cars have driven through mountain passes, across glaciers and places you wouldn't have imagined.
U-drive tours
Those are trips which are combined with an eco adventure such as glacier hiking, caving or river rafting. On these tours you get to drive adventurous trails on a modified 4x4 self-drive vehicles (Land Rover Defender 110, with huge 38" tires, Snorkel, VHF radio intercommunication, GPS, air compressor) which were especially designed for demanding terrain. With these vehicles, participants discover glaciers, desserts, lava fields but also other main attractions in Iceland, like the highland valley of Þórsmörk and the Golden Circle.

The Northern Lights in a super jeep
One of the most popular super-jeep tours, it's an evening tour available January 1st - March 15th every year, where you hunt for northern lights. The tour starts off with a caving tour in one of the lava fields close to Reykjavik City, and it's already dark! When you've finished the lava caving tour you'll get a lobster meal at a really nice restaurant in a small town just 40 minutes drive away. When your meal is finished you'll chase the northern lights and hopefully get a view of the whole spectrum.
