The Blue Ice is our all time bestselling glacier trip and rightly so since it is a great exploration and adventure trip to the Sólheimajökull outlet glacier from the Mýrdalsjökull glacier. It is an otherworldly scene, rough, crevasse riddled and everchanging hub of ancient frozen water and volcanic ashes. We will supply you with crampons, enabling you to walk on the glacier ice and experience the spectacular surroundings. Then we find an ice wall on the glacier and if you are daring enough you can try your hand at ice climbing. We will provide you with all the tools you need: ice axes, crampons and safety lines. The safety line will make sure that even if you lose your grip you will not fall more then a few centimeters. As we drive back to Reykjavik we will stop at the beautiful Skógafoss waterfall.

 On this trip you get to see and do what most of the population will only dream about and very few ever try. Why not be adventurous and explore the amazing crawling glacier?

Price: 17.990 isk per person (includes a pick up and a packed lunch)

Distance from Reykjavik: 150 km. Duration of trip: approx 4 hours or 9 hours with transfer. Available: All year (depending on weather). Minimum: 4 persons. Maximum: 20 persons. Age limit: 12 years. Bring with you: Warm outdoor clothing, waterproof jacket and pants, headwear and gloves. Good hiking shoes are recommended! No knowledge of the sport required.
